Sister Sharon Eubank of the Relief Society general presidency and president of Latter-day Saint Charities recently joined with other members of the general presidencies of the Relief Society and Primary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in a virtual walk to raise awareness for the hungry. 

“I’m walking today in Mueller Park Canyon in solidarity with our friends at Church World Service who are asking people to walk for people who are hungry,” said Sister Eubank.

Food Donations Increase During Pandemic and Recent Harvest

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is increasing its efforts to provide food for those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic and recent natural disasters. Production is up on the farms and the surplus food is being distributed across the country.

“We’ve been incredibly blessed this year with our harvest,” said Matthew Cox, agricultural manager for the Church’s Welfare and Self-Reliance Services Department.
